1. Services
koscak.ai provides passive, automated security scanning and editorial security content. All scans are read-only reconnaissance - we never modify, probe with payloads, or exploit any system. Our scanner operates within the scope you authorize. See our Acceptable Use Policy for the full scope of what scanning does and does not do.
2. Plans and pricing
- Free - 10 scans, no payment required, no card needed.
- Monthly - €42/month, billed automatically every month until cancelled.
- Annual - €432/year, billed automatically every year until cancelled (a prepaid discount vs. 12 monthly payments).
Both paid tiers unlock the same features. Current prices are also shown at /pricing/; the price shown at checkout at the time of purchase governs your subscription.
3. Subscriptions, billing, and auto-renewal
- Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) at the then-current price, charged to the payment method on file via Stripe, until you cancel.
- We will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email before a renewal if the price is changing.
- You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and you retain paid access through the end of the period already paid for. See our full Refund & Cancellation Policy, including the EU 14-day withdrawal right and its waiver for digital services already in use.
- Failed payments may result in downgrade to the Free plan after a grace period; we will attempt to notify you first.
4. Your responsibilities
- You must own or have written authorization for any system, domain, or URL you submit for scanning.
- Submitting a third-party domain you do not control or are not authorized to test is a breach of these terms and may be illegal in your jurisdiction. See Acceptable Use Policy.
- You must be 18 or older, or have parental/guardian consent, to purchase a paid plan.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and payment method current.
5. Scope and limitations of scans
Our scans are point-in-time, passive/read-only assessments of externally observable HTTP/TLS/DNS signals. Security is a moving target - a clean report today does not guarantee a clean state tomorrow. We do not provide continuous monitoring, penetration testing, or authenticated testing unless explicitly contracted separately in writing.
The Free plan performs a limited set of passive checks. Paid plans unlock the full check set and history/dashboard features, but scans remain passive and read-only at every tier - see the Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Confidentiality
Scan findings tied to your account are private by default. We do not discuss, publish, or reference your findings without your consent, except a public /r/:id permalink you explicitly choose to create and share.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability arising from these terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. We are not liable for damages arising from vulnerabilities not identified in our scan - a passive security scan is not a guarantee of security, and no scan can detect every possible vulnerability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory EU or Slovak consumer-protection law.
8. Newsletter and editorial content
The newsletter and blog are editorial content only. Nothing in our posts constitutes legal, financial, or professional security advice for your specific system. Apply findings from our content with professional judgment.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic and applicable EU law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Slovak courts, unless mandatory EU consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring a claim in the courts of your own member state, which is preserved.
10. Related policies

11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via the newsletter and this page with at least 14 days notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
